Weddings Bells in Tuscany for this Italian Wedding

Surrounded by the rustic, enchanting estate of Villa Corsini Mezzomonte and overlooking the rolling Italian countryside, the couple celebrated their love beneath a towering cedar of Lebanon tree, accompanied by their loved ones from all over the world. “We live in London, but originate from different countries, so our families and friends travelled from all over the place,” the bride explains. “So, we wanted a beautiful, central place to host them all. We fell in love with Villa Corsini Mezzomonte - it just responded perfectly to everything we had imagined.”

People from every part of the bride and groom’s lives came together under a blue sky - some meeting for the first time, some reuniting after a while. They ended up with around 180 guests, and it meant a lot to the couple to be able to see everyone together at their Tuscany wedding venue. “The weather was perfect, and all of our dearest friends and family were there.”

Lemon trees and vineyard views encircled the wedding; a band playing old Italian swing blended with international jazz in the courtyard as their guests mingled. The couple opted for a cosy, autumnal theme - refurbished wine barrels and specialist floral arrangements from Florence scattered around the ceremony - also requesting guests to incorporate colours into their outfits wherever possible. The bride and groom themselves looked picture perfect in their Italian tailor-made outfits - Daisy’s wedding dress tailor meeting her vision and enhancing her Italian wedding so much so that she was invited as a guest of honour!

From tailored lighting created by a local artisan for the dance floor (inspired by the bride’s passion for multi-colours and travel), to a makeshift cocktail garden on the villa’s grounds, the venue went above and beyond to create the dream event for this enthusiastic and unique couple. Small touches with a lot of character were all that was needed to make this event spectacular, and to effectively reflect the personalities of the special pair.

Music was a significant aspect of this couple’s fun-filled ceremony. For their first dance, they chose ‘I’m Yours’ - taking this time to showcase to their loved ones the results of the dance classes they’d both taken! “Needless to say,” grinned Daisy, “We did a lot better in the last dance class than at the wedding… We were already too drunk to remember our steps whatsoever!” Daniel adds, “The pictures of the dance turned out great, but the videos… Less so!”

“My favourite part of the wedding has to be the ceremony,” reveals the bride. “Just because it was the beginning of it all, of our journey as a married couple… I also loved the speeches at the dinner, and can’t forget the dance floor! I’ve never danced that much, or had so much fun, as on that day!” As for Daniel’s favourite… “Everything, really! A moment I remember in particular was when Daisy and I were in the car on the way to the hotel, and I said ‘This was really the best wedding I ever attended!’, and Daisy told me back ‘That’s great, my love… You know, it was ours?!”
